Finished vs. Unfinished Labels - What's the Difference?

How do I know which type of label to choose?

First let's explain the difference between a

"Finished Label" vs. "Unfinished Label"

Finished Label: A finished label consists of 2 layers of fabric and is sewn around the entire edge to give it a clean and finished look. These labels are perfect for hand sewing directly onto finished quilts. Depending on size, they are also great for sewing onto the back of ties with that special sentiment or any other handmade item.

Unfinished Label: An unfinished or raw edge label is embroidered onto a single layer of fabric and includes 1-2 inches of additional fabric around the outer edge to easily incorporate into your quilt backing or handmade item before it is finished. You can also fold the label edges over and finish the label to your liking.
